Cube Steaks in Mushroom Gravy

I was going to make a nice cube steak sandwich for dinner but I had no ketchup in the house. There is no way I could have that sandwich without ketchup. But I did have some mushrooms and an onion and a jar of mushroom gravy. So that worked for me.

INGREDIENTS:

3 Large Cube Steaks

1/2 Pound of Mushrooms

One onion, diced

2 Tbsp Butter

One Jar Beef Gravy

1/2 Jar of water

1 Tbsp Flour

Salt & Pepper, to taste

Cut up the steaks and pan fry in a little oil and then drain them good. Pour the grease out of the pan and add a little Extra Virgin Olive Oil and gently sauté the mushrooms and onions until golden brown.

Put the drained meat back in the skillet with 2 Tbsp of butter and add the jar of gravy. Fill up the jar of water with the flour and shake it up. Add to skillet and stir. Put the pan in the oven on 350 for 35 minutes, stirring half way through.

Served with Mashed Potatoes
