Carrie was much loved and adored by her husband. After her death, William Miller placed his wife’s body into the burial chamber – still on her death bed – then poured concrete over her.
The large tomb reads: The body of Carrie Barrett Miller was moulded in this solid block of concrete on Dec, 4th, 1926. After the body has gone to dust, her sleeping form will remain.
