So the day before Super Bowl Sunday, Comcast arrived and turned on our TV in our community's Hospitality Room to the game channel. We immediately locked the door so we would not have any issues on not being able to turn on the game. You see, children weren't invited so which one of us can actually turn on a tv?
Of course, come game time, the television sound went off. So someone fiddled with it and we lost the game channel. We may have lost the channel but we didn't lose our winning spirits!!
Eventually we accepted the fact that there would be no game and there was much talk about "if my grandson was here we would be watching it" and "my three year old granddaughter could get the channel on"....etc. etc. etc.
This party was in Palm Beach, right on the ocean and folks are used to not being able to do technology. But they sure know how to tilt their glasses to the ocean breeze.
A lovely time was had by all!!
That one in the front was the Vegetarian Sandwich. It had Roasted Portobello Mushrooms, Eggplant, Zucchini, Red Onions, Red Peppers, Raw Spinach & Tomatoes with a Vegetarian Sandwich Spread on each layer.
Roasted Veggies
My fabulous sous chef....Artie!! The back six sandwiches were Roast Beef with Horseradish sauce on the bottom layer, then Swiss Cheese, Tomato, Bacon and Mayo on the next layer, Honey Maple Ham with slices of Red Onions and Dill Pickle Chips with Dijon Mustard, next layer was Provolone with Spicy Brown Mustard and then the top piece of bread last. It was coated in Garlic, Butter and Parsley and baked for 15 minutes.
Me & Artie had an assembly line going on in the kitchen!!
These three were homemade Tuna Salad with Provolone Cheese , Sweet Rlish, Carrots, Onions, Celery Salt, Black Pepper & Hellmans Mayonaise. They were brushed with Garlic, Parsley and Butter and baked for 15 minutes.
Next year our team will beat that Technology issue because our team is tops!!
