Manatee Lagoon-West Palm Beach

Updated: Nov 3, 2022

Packed up my bike today and went to West Palm Beach and also into Palm Beach. Located at 6000 N. Flagler Drive, West Palm Beach, FL 33407. Open daily 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM and plenty of free parking.

This place is an FPL Eco-Discovery Center. There is a nice gift shop inside so make sure you go in to buy something to help support the manatees or you can just make a donation in a jar by the welcome desk.

There is a Manatee Cam on the website which showed manatees in the outside waters. When I got there unfortunately I didn't get to see any. However, I saw a large school of zebra fish and some rather large various fish from the observation deck.

There is a giant pool which leads form the Florida Power & Light Company's warm water outflows from their plant. These outflows help keep the manatees warm during the winter months. This is a very family friendly place with a large learning center inside with exhibits, and observation deck and a couple of nice fish tanks.

Learn about the mysteries of the Manatee and the environment of the Manatee Lagoon.
