I'm just a poor woman who loves Beef Wellington. So I made meatloaf with some puff pastry this weekend. I'm calling it Meatloaf Welly. It was delicious!
Recipe: Saute a pint of mushrooms and a large onion and let cool. In a bowl, put the meat, the mushrooms and onions, 2 tbsp mustard, S & P, one egg, a 1/2 pint of mushroom gravy. Mix well and add enough bread crumbs so it is still a bit moist. Shape and put in a skillet with a drop of oil rubbed on the bottom of the pan. Bake on 375 for 35 minutes. Remove from oven and drain grease out of skillet. Add one sheet of puff pastry to the top and bake until pastry is browned.
